ALL REPUBLICANS SIMPLY PRETEND TO BE AGAINST INCREASED IMMIGRATION TO THE US, INCLUDING DUNCAN HUNTER; BUT THEY ENABLE AS MUCH - LEGAL AND ILLEGAL - IMMIGRATION AS THE DEMOCRATS

Don't be fooled. The Republican Party held power for eight years 2000-2008. Much of that time they controlled both houses of Congress and the White House. So what happened during that time? The country's borders were left open for the most part, and immigration to the US by people from Cuba, The Middle East, Africa, China, Pakistan, India, and all other places soared under a number of programs that the Republicans ratified and enabled.
It's popular to rail against people from Mexico, while accusing the Democrats of trying to increase immigration from Mexico for political reasons, but you won't hear the Republicans rail against the Cuban immigrants that they set-up with special immigration law exemptions, so they can increase their voter base in South Florida.
The Republicans will claim they oppose immigration fraud, but they looked the other way for eight years while misconduct in the H1-B program flourished. Fake front companies still litter the nation's business records from the days when the Republicans let H1-B fraud run wild, because the corporations demanded cheap labor they could undercut American high tech workers with, and a high percentage of the new tech industry workers were expected to vote Republican once naturalized.
